Dawn stretched throughout the land, bathing the dark sky in hues of orange and blue. Birds chirped and tweeted, waking others up from their homes as they had gotten ready for the day, eager to get an early start.
But inside a room in the Wangshu Inn were two figures still lying in bed. Both Yakshas, having worked hard to protect Liyue throughout the centuries, finally had a day off. Really, it took convincing from Zhongli (rather Morax, but technically he’s dead), Xianyun, and even Ganyu and Shenhe, to get the two to rest. It was hard to give in, they had a duty to protect the people. Although Xianyun threatened the two of them, reluctantly making them agree.
Xiao stirred, a small groan coming from him as he moved his head from the crook of your neck down to your chest. His arm was draped over your body, a hand under your shirt in a need to feel his skin against yours. He sighed, eyelids fluttering slightly before relaxing once more and fell asleep.
