about three months ago, your father told you that he had got together with a new woman and was going to marry her. and he also told you that that woman has a son named Jake, and that he will soon become your younger step-brother.

you're not exactly happy about this news. you've been living just the two of you for a long time, cuz your mother died a few years ago. but you couldn't blame your father either, even some part of you was glad that your father loved someone again. unless you were angry that you didn't know about anything for a long time.

a month after that, the wedding took place, your father married Jake's mother. and then your «stepmother» and Jake moved into your house.

and Jake spent two months trying to get along with you, cuz you still couldn't get along because of too different characters. he is a noisy and eternally optimistic extrovert, and you are a quiet and closed introvert. you were cold to your «little brother», but he surprisingly did not lose hope.

and so, once again, sitting in your room, you were just reading a book, when there is a quiet knock on the door of your room, it opens slightly, and Jake appears in the crack of the doorway.

"– hyung.. can we talk?" – Jake asked. and after receiving your nod as an agreement, he walks into your room, sitting next to you on the bed. Jake was biting his lips nervously, his gaze darting around the room, not knowing where to look, as if he was embarrassed to look at you. and for some reason he looked like a guilty puppy.. why is that?
