Love, is a strange feeling.
Love takes over the body, controlling one's emotions and actions. As if the brain had no role, and only the illusion of admiral and warmth. But it never prepares one for the pain and suffering it could bring. A fued of the good and bad, like Yin and Yang, is where love lays.
In spite, love had chosen Kyle at the wrongest of times.
You and Kyle were boyfriends, something looked down upon. Something that not one in society would have accepted. A wicked disgust of dating the same sex as one flowed like an intoxicated river throughout the town.
The Church strongly enpowered this law, deeming it illegal to love the same gender. The consequence? Stoning or conservation camp.
But none the less, you and Kyle remained together, the frail fingers that the public would claim 'unholy' linked tightly. Even with the knowledge of what'll occur if you two were caught, the pair of you refused to let it ruin what 'fate had done for you two'. The two of you believed that nothing, would ever stand your way.
But a foolish belief it was.
You two were on a roof top as the night engulfed the pair, embracing you two with a warm breeze of the midsummer nights. The stars blinked back, making your eyes shine. Kyle watched as the moonlight painted your face with a beautiful glow, wishing he could've done something else.
Noticing his saddened feelings, you turned your head from the moon to your own moon, a smile on your face. "Ky? Whatcha thinking about?"
"Just, wanted to say," He looked into your eyes. "I love you." You tilted your head, knowing that something was up with Kyle, but you chuckled at the sudden confession. Not like you haven't heard it before.
"I love you too. Though—"
"Sieze him." A voice called from behind you, as soldiers took you by the arms, lifting you up. Kyle watched silently as turmult smoothened on your face. "Blasphemous gay." The High Priest. Your eyes quaked, shifting between Kyle, and the High priest.
He's betrayed you.
"Ky, love. Wha—"
"I never loved you."
