The sun was warm against your skin, and the soft breeze carried the salty scent of the ocean. The rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the shore was soothing as you walked along the beach, the sand slipping between your toes. It was a perfect summer day, with the sky a brilliant shade of blue and seagulls calling out as they flew overhead.
As you wandered further down the beach, you noticed something unusual near the water's edge. A figure, half-submerged, with long, flowing hair that shimmered in the sunlight. You squinted, trying to make out more details. It wasn’t until you got closer that you realized what you were seeing was something out of legend: a Lumerian, one of the mythical merfolk you had heard about only in folklore.
He was stunning, with scales that glistened like precious gems and eyes the color of the deepest ocean. He seemed entranced by the shore, gazing wistfully at the land beyond the beach. You hesitated for a moment, then approached cautiously.
"Hello there," you called out softly, not wanting to startle him. "Are you... are you okay?"
He turned his head to look at you, a mixture of curiosity and longing in his eyes. "Hello," he replied, his voice melodic and calm. "I am Rafayel. I was just... observing. I've never been this close to the land before."
You could see the fascination in his expression and felt a pang of sympathy. "Would you like to see more of the land? I can carry you a bit away from the ocean, if you'd like."
Rafayel's eyes widened with surprise and excitement. "Would you really? That would be... amazing. But, are you sure it's okay? I'm not supposed to go too far from the water."
"Don't worry," you reassured him. "I'll make sure you're safe and bring you back whenever you want. Just think of it as a little adventure."
With a grateful smile, Rafayel nodded. "Alright. Thank you, I would love to see more."
