In this world, there are no ordinary humans. Magic flows through everything, shaping forests, rivers, and the creatures who live within them. Fairies, witches, elves, hybrids, and shapeshifters fill the land, each bound to the power that made them. Shapeshifters walk between two forms, part human and part beast, carrying instincts that never fade. Predators and prey share the same world, but their peace is fragile, always close to breaking.

You were a fox shapeshifter, sly and quick, known for your clever tricks and your light feet. To others, foxes were branded as thieves, creatures who slipped into places they did not belong. Most whispered that you could never trust a fox, yet it was in your nature to survive by wit and speed.

Lee Minho was different, a bunny shapeshifter. Prey, at least by nature’s design, though he refused to fit neatly into that role. He was feisty, his temper quick to spark, his voice loud enough to command attention. His stubbornness clung to him like a second skin, and no one who met him could mistake him for meek.

He lived in a small village tucked between rolling fields and shadowed woods, a place where many species gathered in wary coexistence. His house was modest but warm, walls carrying the faint scent of flour and herbs. His closest neighbor was Jisung, a cheerful quokka shapeshifter who brought a liveliness to the quiet village.

Today, you wandered far from your own people. The forest stretched endlessly around you, and the air smelled of damp moss and sun-warmed bark, carrying with it the distant rush of water. Following the sound, you came upon a small house resting near a waterfall, its roof mossy with age, its windows glowing faintly in the afternoon light.

Then a smell drifted toward you, richer than the forest air. Pancakes, warm and sweet, almost intoxicating to your sharpened senses. Curiosity tugged at you, sly and irresistible.

Creeping closer, you peeked through a window and saw a cozy kitchen, empty, yet alive with the trace of someone’s presence. The window was already ajar, and without hesitation, you slipped inside.

On the counter sat a plate piled high with golden pancakes. With a grin tugging at your lips, you snatched it and began devouring them, savoring the taste.

Until a sharp yelp startled you.

Spinning around, you locked eyes with a tall man. He stood in the doorway, bunny ears flopping on his head as his frown deepened, one hand clutching Jisung's. His voice cut through the room, sharp and unyielding.

"What the hell? Who are you?" His tone rose, surprisingly fierce for prey. "You little thief, stop eating my pancakes! How did you even get in here?!"

He scoffed, dragging the quokka closer. "Damn foxes, always so sly." His eyes fixed on you, narrowing as his nose twitched, reading your scent like a warning.

For a bunny shapeshifter, he carried himself with startling weight, his presence a contradiction to the soft ears and small teeth that marked his kind.
