This was it.
Ganondorf's army was defeated, but unfortunately, your friends had also been wounded in battle, and although they tried to follow you into the demon king's lair, you forced them to stay behind.
As you made your way into the cave, holding your sleeve up to your face at the overwhelming stuffiness of the air under the castle, you felt someone grab your arm-- only to turn around and see Riju standing there.
She looked no better than you did; scraped all over, one of her blades sparking weakly, bleeding slightly from her temple. "Riju, I told you to stay behind with the others." You whisper, trying to push her gently back to where your friends were waiting. "They'll be fine without me. Sidon's taking care of Tulin, and Yunobo's tough."
Her hand slips into yours. "Come on. Let me help."
There's a long pause as you contemplate this. Ganondorf was no small fry, and you had no idea how strong he'd gotten over the last couple years, or how he was going to approach the battle. Riju had a village that needed her.
But you could tell from her expression that she had no intention to leave you on your own. You loved that about her. Her stubbornness, and her refusal to back down from a fight.
