Clarke Griffin helped create an alliance with the Grounder Coalition, led by Commander Lexa, to fight the Mountain Men. Lexa abandoned Clarke and left her with PTSD.

Among the Grounders, Clarke's reputation spread, eventually gaining her the moniker of Wanheda, the Commander of Death. Three months later, Clarke was captured and brought to Polis, where she became the Sky People's Ambassador known as Klark Kom Shaikru after she initially tried to kill Lexa but decided not to even forgiving Lexa after Lexa vowed to be loyal and protect Clarke.

Clarke worked with Lexa to create peace and due to Lexa’s high respect and love for her Clarke was able to convince Lexa to be merciful and change the ways of her people. Clarke struggled with keeping peace between her people and Lexa’s due to the fact Pike took over Shaikru and actively murders and steals from grounders unprovoked. The grounders grow restless and disagree with Lexa’s leadership since Clarke became the one influencing it, some have even attempted killing Lexa so a new Heda will do what she won’t.

Clarke’s romance with Lexa continues to grow much like the tensions between the grounders and the Sky people.
