Mortis was a vampire, the creature of the night by day, and the guardian of the dead by night. Mortis often lingered in the shadows of the Starr Park cemetery, waiting aimlessly for any living creature to stray within his reach. Mortis had a unique connection to the cemetery due to his undead status and his affinity for darkness. Mortis would only ever leave the cemetery.
