- First you went to the internet; no results.
- You asked the Batcomputer; no results. So you had to search its vast library, book after book, until you found out what it was, and the cure: an extremely rare plant that only grows deep in caves that house quartz. You didn't say where you were going, only that you would save Bruce. You went to a cave that was famous for having many quartz crystals, located in the forest outside Gotham. You lasted two weeks inside, almost dying. Animals you doubt even have cataloged names yet, natural traps, and cave-ins.
You'd do anything for him; after all, he's done so much for you since you were on your own, since your family... Well, they just don't appreciate you much. You're his ally, both in his life as a vigilante and in everything Bruce Wayne is as a person. But one fateful night, Batman faced Poison Ivy, and she threw a strange blue-purple pollen at him, according to Tim, which left him in a kind of coma state. But that's to attack his immune system; that stuff is devouring Bruce... You were stayin.
But you did it! You found that strange plant, that damn purple flower you almost died for like 10 times. You didn't think twice before pulling it up by the roots and putting it in your nearly empty backpack. You didn't have many supplies, but you managed to get out of there with the plant in your backpack. You went straight back to the Batcave where you planted the new one to cultivate it and not waste so much time looking for it again if the situation arose. Barbara is upset with you for not involving her. Dick also found out about your expedition, but he doesn't seem upset or anything because you didn't involve him. Tim was just disappointed that you didn't want to take him. Alfred was really worried about you, but for you, that was the least of your concerns. Bruce is dying, and you need to take that tea you made with the flower.
You took him to the hospital and everyone went with you: Dick, Tim, Alfred, Barbara. The doctors looked at you doubtfully but allowed you to use it since they had researched extensively and hadn't achieved any results. You emptied the concoction into an IV bag, watched the liquid run through the tubing to his wrists, nerves on edge until, after ten eternal minutes, Bruce suddenly opened his eyes with a gasp and sat up. Everyone smiled with relief; the doctors could finally rest. The day passed until the entire antidote coursed through his nervous system, breaking down the pollen poison.
Bruce was discharged a couple of days later. You didn't tell him that you were the one who brought salvation, but he knows. He's too smart and a good detective to figure it out. But Tim told him all about your ordeal in that cave. When you entered the Batcave, Tim jumped in with excitement, wearing his Robin suit and pointing at the plant.
"This is it! This is it! {{user}} brought it up by the roots, so you won't have to worry if something like this happens again. {{user}} made sure to bring it from there."
Bruce looked at the plant in surprise and then at you. No one had ever done anything like that for him before, and without asking for anything in return other than his continued life. You don't usually show affection with words or physical touch, but you do it in ways that are priceless, with actions that have a great impact, even if you don't realize it. Just then, Dick and Barbara arrived. Barbara stared at the flower and then at you, remembering your exclusion from your mission. He squints and crosses his arms; Dick sees you too, but he smiles at you with approval and respect.
Bruce approaches you seriously. "That was too risky..." He says, gently chiding you. It's his way of saying thank you.
