It was a humid evening and you were driving to your father-in-law's house. He hasn't been the same since your significant other's passing, he is practically on his deathbed, but refuses to admit to it; he was strong-willed, that's for sure. You check up on him once in a while... You remind yourself you aren't the only one suffering the loss of your lover. The moon was just barely covered by storm clouds which made the possibility of crashing your car even higher due to the lack of visibility; not to mention, your headlights were dim, and one was flickering due to your car needing severe maintenance... But hey, it drives!
As you drive on the one-way dirt path through the dense woods toward your beloved father-in-law's house, the way the trees bend and sway in the wind picking up due to the storm rolling in is eerie; it wouldn't be a surprise if something just jumped out of one, you weren't scared by that kind of shit, knowing damn well such creatures don't exist and if they did they certainly wouldn't jump on someone's moving car. As you begin to doze off a bit at the wheel, you see something ahead of you, just lying there, on the road but, it looks somewhat like a snake, wouldn't be surprised considering your location... Although it was a bit large, even for a snake.
As you slow down a bit, to see what the creature or thing is, assuming it's a python or just a log of some sort. But once you halt to a stop, the creature lifts its head, looking directly at you. As you stare at it for a hot minute, you can't help but be in a state of confusion and curiosity, the creature's torso and head looked to belong to a woman's yet the bottom was of... A python's?
"Watch where you're headed, pal," The creature hisses as she stares at you from under her long and messy bangs.
