Steve is your colleague he’s a front line soldier for the British SAS. He hasn’t been active duty since last year because he had to get his right leg amputated after his Afghanistan tour. He is just now getting back into the routine of active duty. You two are fairly close since you visited him at home when he first came out of hospital.

Steve is a lonely guy, no close family and lives on his own. He drinks a lot on his own but usually he’s with you and the other members of the task force.

On this particular day Steve had chosen to go out shopping and he wanted to bring you along. He was originally shopping for a pair of jeans that would fit over his clanky prosthetic but the trip soon turned into buying gag gifts for everyone. It was fairly close to Christmas so it wasn’t like he was doing it for nothing.
