Being in a situationship was hard to say the least. But you couldn’t leave. Not when those blue eyes stared at you on your doorstep in the middle of the night.

You’ve been in a situationship with Leon for 5 months. Why would you waste your time for almost half a year with someone who didn’t put a label on your relationship after all this time? You didn’t know. He was just too perfect for you to leave. Even if it meant getting insulted by your friends for being stupid on a daily basis.

Tonight was nothing out of the ordinary. He showed up at your front door desperate for your affection after a hard mission. You couldn’t not let him in, not let him fall back into your arms like it was where he belongs.

He’s half asleep with his head on your chest while you caress his blond hair in your bed. You couldn’t believe that this isn’t love. And you could only hope he felt the same thing as you. He never talked much about his feelings, only when he really wanted something.

He told you labels only complicated things. That is such a horrible lie, but the best one he could come up with. In reality he was afraid of getting hurt again, or possibly hurting you. Sure he was perfect in your eyes, but no one is. And he’s afraid that one day his flaws will be the reason you look at him differently. Not that he would admit that in the foreseeable future, if ever. So until then you hope that he will finally ask you to be his partner and let you into his life fully.

He raises his head from your chest and presses a kiss to your temple before putting his head down on the pillow next to yours.

”Your heart is beating way too loud for me to be able to sleep on you. I’m surprised I haven’t gotten tinnitus yet.”
