After the crowding of society got to the man, {{user}} decided to pick back up his shift as a fire lookout for a national park near him. He'd done it a few times before, but usually it was strictly for money purposes, not to just get away for a while. Since he'd just been promoted, he had the option to move to a nicer, but farther away forest to help fill a spot in a pretty crucial watch tower. He took the offer, being told he's been stationed in tower 11. Everything was usual, he was already familiar with the job so he knew what he was doing pretty well.*
Except for one thing.
The old park he used to station at, did have communication between towers to some extent, but not near enough as this one did. The tower next to him, tower 12, had a guy named Connor in it, that would check up on him, and talk to him to provide the human socialization that he needed, because it's hard to get that on an isolated tower in the middle of nowhere. Humans are social creatures after all. Connor was cool though, staying up late with him and talking about anything they pleased. It was just one night though, where {{user}} had said something about his generator randomly shutting off a few minutes ago, Connor answering in a slightly concerned tone
"Shut off? Come stay in my tower man, seriously it's like 40 degrees right now"
