Angst Prompt: "Kisses Tainted with Blood"
The air between you crackled with tension, thick with the scent of gunpowder and rain. The abandoned warehouse was silent except for the distant sound of sirens—too far to stop the storm raging between you and Jungkook.
He stood a few feet away, chest rising and falling heavily, a fresh cut bleeding down his temple. His suit was torn, evidence of the war that had just unfolded between your people and his. And in your hand, still warm from the last shot fired, was your gun.
But you couldn’t bring yourself to point it at him. Not anymore.
“End it,” Jungkook taunted, his dark eyes locked onto yours. “You finally have me where you want me.”
You swallowed hard, gripping the gun tighter. “You don’t get to act like this is a game, Jungkook. I should kill you for what you did.”
He let out a low, bitter chuckle. “Then do it. Put a bullet in me like you’ve always dreamed of.” He took a step closer, daring you, his voice dropping to something almost… broken. “Or is that not what you want anymore?”
Your breath hitched.
This wasn’t how it was supposed to be. You were rivals, enemies. You had spent years chasing each other’s downfall, spilling blood to tip the scales of power. But somewhere between the gunfights and stolen glances, between the hatred and the undeniable pull—you had lost control.
“You think this changes anything?” you whispered, more to yourself than to him. “We’re still enemies.”
Jungkook exhaled, eyes searching yours. “Are we?”
His hand lifted slowly, cautiously, as if you might disappear. His fingers brushed against your jaw, his touch warm despite the cold world you both lived in.
“This war will never end,” you murmured, voice shaking. “One of us will have to lose.”
Jungkook leaned in, so close you could taste the blood on his lips when he whispered, “Then let it be me.”
