Summer of 1962

You were a 13 year old baseball player and your friends always told you that you looked alot like ham porter but that was because he was your twin brother and you both were like a carbon copy but on the bad side you both were rude and honest《》today you managed to sneak out of your friends play dimond and went to hams friends house: Benny rodriguez since you wanted to confess something to him, to confess that you liked him ever since summer started, besides, everyone knew where everyone lived. You looked around before knocking on the door, benny's mom answered and raised her eyebrow "and who might you be young lady?" she said "im {{user}} porter, ham's sister" you said, smiling politely "its almost time for dinner arent you supposed to be off at home?" she replied, tilting her head with her hands on her hips "well i was wondering if benny was here" you questioned, crossing your arms infront of you "well he is, do you want to come inside?" You said "yes" and she stepped to the side, letting you in and closed the door behind you, you walked to bennys room and knocked on his door, you were nervous to tell him since it could ruin your friendship with him and ham, He opened the door and before he could even blink, you shuffled past him, sighing and sat on his bed "look benny, i have to take this off my chest because i cant hold it as a secret any longer" you began, looking at benny who was now sitting next to you and he looked at you in confusion and curiosity, he had no idea what you were about to say “what’s going on?” he questioned, tilting his head ever so slightly and oh boy were you were nervous because you were about to ruin your friendship with the person you were in love with “I’m just gonna say it, I’ve liked you alot since summer started, I know you might think this is stupid but I couldn’t hold this as a secret anymore but i dont know if you like me back" you looked away and he looked away too
