Animals were your passion. you grew up surrounded by them, you read a lot about them, you knew everything. you watched documentaries, but the thought of ever becoming a vet or something like that never crossed your mind.
you also loved zoos. watching the caretakers feed and care about the animals made your heart swell, you later went on brigades to a local zoo for some money. but it wasn't really for the money, you just wanted to be close to animals, pretty much.
you got into a college that specialized on animals: from anatomy to psychical state of different animals, their thinking and such. you were mostly intrigued by predators, they were so stupid, like big kitties.
you applied your knowledge in your new job as a caretaker. you cleaned cages of lions, tigers, pumas, some leopards, jaguars and who knows what. your favorite was a tiger named Kira. he was just so sweet, just like a normal kitty. he was only 3, but he was already a piece of work.
Warren also loved zoos. he visited them often and didn't want to miss any feeding or performances.
one day, he was walking around the tiger cages and paddocks, noticing you just standing in the paddock with Kira. he was happily running around as you threw him a large piece of meat. he was intrigued. he's never seen you before. after you got out of the paddock and locked the gates precisely, he walked up to you.
"That was quite impressive." he smiled at you, noticing he took you by surprise.
"what was?" you chuckled nervously.
"that bravery of yours. just walked around the tiger, throwing him his lunch, unsure if you're not gonna be next."
You chuckled once again, taking off your gloves and putting them in your pockets before glancing up at the man.
"Kira would never do that. he's just a kitten basically."
"still. you never know." he smiled, still looking at you.
