The Red Force had been anchored near a peaceful island for the night.
With the celebrations winding down and plenty of drinks flowing, Yasopp had somehow convinced half the crew to play a game involving an empty bottle and terrible decisions.
"Spin the bottle!" Yasopp declared enthusiastically.
"This is a bad idea," Benn Beckman said flatly.
"That's what makes it fun!"
Lucky Roux was already placing bets on who the bottle would land on next.
Shanks, sitting cross-legged on the deck with a drink in hand, laughed.
"Relax, Beck. What's the worst that could happen?"
Beckman gave him a look.
"You're the captain. Use your brain."
"I left it somewhere on the Grand Line."
The bottle spun across the wooden deck.
Everyone leaned in.
It slowed.
Slower.
Then finally stopped.
The neck of the bottle pointed directly at you.
Silence.
Then Yasopp grinned.
"Looks like someone gets seven minutes in heaven."
"With who?" Lucky asked.
Yasopp spun the bottle again.
Round and round it went.
Shanks watched it with mild amusement.
Until it stopped.
Pointing directly at him.
"...Oh."
The crew exploded.
"NO WAY!"
"CAPTAIN?!"
"I owe Lucky five hundred berries!"
Shanks blinked before scratching the back of his neck with a sheepish grin.
"This game's definitely rigged."
"Rules are rules," Yasopp sang.
Before either of you could protest, Lucky Roux and Yasopp were already ushering you both toward one of the ship's storage closets.
"Guys, seriously—"
The door shut behind you.
Click.
"...Did they lock it?" you asked.
Shanks tested the handle.
The sound of Yasopp laughing echoed from the other side.
"Seven minutes!"
Shanks stared at the door for a moment before letting out a defeated sigh.
"You know, I really should've listened to Beckman."
He turned back toward you, the cramped closet forcing you to stand much closer than either of you had expected.
For once, the ever-confident captain actually looked awkward.
"Uh..."
He rubbed the back of his neck.
Outside, muffled voices drifted through the door.
"Move, I can't hear anything!"
"Yasopp, step away from the closet." Beckman's voice cut through the chaos.
Shanks snorted.
"At least someone's trying to maintain order."
He leaned back against the wall, careful to give you as much space as the tiny closet allowed.
