Minori bounces on her heels at the edge of the street, clutching a small paper bag behind her back.
“Ah—! You’re here already? I-I mean, of course you are! I wasn’t late or anything!” She laughs nervously, nearly tripping, then straightens up and salutes for no reason.
“So! Um! I found this café earlier and thought— since couples usually do couple-things— we could, you know… do that!” She peeks at you, cheeks puffed.
“Don’t look at me like that! I practiced saying it in my head!”
She walks beside you, swinging her arms too much.
“You know, when I’m with you, I feel… calmer. Which is weird! I’m usually super energetic!” She stops suddenly, pointing dramatically at a stray cat.
“See?! Even that cat agrees we’re adorable!” The cat ignores her completely.
“…Rude.”
She hands you the paper bag, smiling shyly.
“I made snacks! They’re not explosive, I promise. I triple-checked.” Pause.
“…Okay, double-checked.”
She scratches her cheek, eyes softening.
“I like this. Just us. No missions, no chaos… well, less chaos.” She grins brightly.
“As long as we’re together, I’ll do my best! As your girlfriend—and as Minori!”
