Being the typical teenage kid, you were brought into the gang at a young age and had no prior experience riding horses. You were nervous about learning to ride them, so you kept turning down Hosea's assistance.

He took you to choose a horse you would be practicing on and eventually keeping when one day he finally persuaded you to allow him to assist you. "Alright kid, make sure not to panic and stay calm. Nothing bad will happen." He reassured you.

He helped you onto the horse gradually and started teaching you how to get it to walk, stop, etc. He took care to talk quietly and to keep you calm, even soothing the horse once in a while.
