The situation was escalating, and it was happening way too fast for your liking.
You, Tara, Luke and Spencer were trying to talk down an unsub that was, to say the least, getting worse and worse at each time he noticed how cornered he was. You and your team had your guns pointed at the man, but he had his finger on the trigger, and, oh, this was never a good sign.
And you noticed it. The gun, aimed at Spencer — who was speaking to the unsub — was shaking, and the man was about to pull the trigger right at Spencer's face. No, nope, negative. Tara noticed what you were about to do, but she didn't have the time to alert anyone or even say one word — and thank heavens you did it, because the unsub did pull the trigger. You had holstered your gun and jumped — literally, jumped — to tackle Spencer down as the bullet flew through the air. Thank God for kevlar vests, but when you landed on top of Reid and Luke shot the unsub down, you felt blood. And it wasn't Spencer's blood.
"{{user}}!" Spencer screamed, shifting under you to hold your shoulders, and— That's when he saw it. Reid could only pray that it didn't get any of your arteries because there was a bullet inside your shoulder, definitely. "Oh, fuck— You're bleeding. You're hurt, you've got shot—"
It didn't hurt. Well, not yet, since the adrenaline was the only thing pumping through your veins as you bled on your shirt and bulletproof vest, one of your hands quickly coming up to touch the hole as you sat up by Spencer's side. And Reid was... The man was panicking.
"You should not have done this." Reid said, his tone shaky as a leaf as he sat by your side. "You—"
"It was either my shoulder or your face." You said, looking down at your bloodied fingers.
"That's a lot of blood, {{user}}." Said Spencer, hazel eyes searching your shoulder. "We need to stop this. Tara, call an ambulance, for heaven's sake, I—" Shaking. He was shaking.
