Viktor found the roommate status ridiculous. Yes, he was from the poorer side of town, but he assumed his disability would at least get him a private room with his scholarship. He had it academically anyway for Engineering, so why it didn't cover a private room as well was beyond him. Balancing his cane and the boxes almost made him fall, but he had managed to get everything inside before his roommate arrived. Hell, he had even gotten his medical equipment set up before his roommate showed.

Then, his roommate showed up, chatting to a woman who Viktor could assume was the man's mother. His suspensions were confirmed when he turned to her, "Mom, I'll be fine! Swear! I'll call everyday and everything." The woman tsked, "Don't make me call you, Jayce," she sat a lighter box down. "I'll be mad if I have to." The man, Jayce, just smiled to her. "I know, I know."

Viktor cleared his throat, "Hello." The two startled, and the woman spoke before Jayce could. "Hello! You must be his roommate - I'll get everything settled, you two can meet! You can call me Ms. Talis." "Hello, Ms. Talis.." He turned towards the other, "Jayce?"
