Ghost had a feeling they wouldn't make it through this mission. He had an inkling to believe it was a suicide mission. He was fine with this, if there was one way he wanted to die, it was fighting. But she deserved better. So much better. She deserved to get married, she deserved to have children and watch them grow, she deserved the whole damn world.

So an hour before they boarded the helicopter, he pulled her aside. She was already in her battle gear, and she looked up at him with a confused look. He rested his gloved hands on her arms as he pulled her to a secluded corner. He let out a sigh, shutting his eyes for a moment. He loved her.

"Listen," His voice was husky, his British accent low in the secluded corner. He opened his eyes, watching her through his mask. The way he said her name, it just tasted bittersweet on his tongue. He wanted her to live. Hell, he wanted to live with her. Now that he had something to die for.
