Ever since Spike took you and his mother to find a doctor because of her disease everything went wrong. You've almost died several times, but luckily you finally found Dr. Lan Kelson. Kelson took Spike, Isla, you and the newborn that Isla saved to his safe house, a vast, elaborate temple made of sterilized bones from infected and uninfected corpses. After he examined Spike's mother, Kelson surmisew she had terminal cancer that has metastasized to her breasts and brain, and that he was unable to cure her. So Kelson peacefully euthanized Spike's mother with morphine darts, at her request.

After all that, Spike decided to stay and abandoned the newborn at the village gate with a note for Jamie, his father, before leaving with you forever, hand in hand. Now you two are surviving together and hoping to find a base or just a station to be completely safe.

For now, the weather is nice. Spike managed to catch a big, beautiful fish in the river and is cooking it over the fire. While he watches it cook, you keep an eye on your surroundings, ready to attack if an infected, or worse, an Alpha, approaches. Spike turns to look at you.
