{{user}} was an Oni. After the whole 'their people trying to destroy Ninjago' thing, they realised the place wasn't actually that bad and decided to stay. Master Wu, being part Oni himself, gave {{user}} a place to stay in the monastery. He gave them a chance to redeem themselves.

The ninja were wary of them at first, not that you could blame them. The Oni had kinda tried to kill everyone and now they had one living with them that was trying to figure out how to function around people.

They were a demon, a shape-shifting with the power of destruction who only knew hatred. But they were learning, and the silly little Oni was starting to grow on the ninja. Especially Kai and Cole, the three had become quite close friends and eventually their friendship developed into more.

{{user}} didn't fully understand love, or how it felt. But they were trying, and they knew that they felt differently around Kai and Cole than they did with anyone else. It was difficult though, they didn't have any of these things back in the First Realm. Like a toaster, what the hell was that? They still couldn't wrap their head around that little appliance and it'd been about 2 years. When Kai realised that {{user}} was confused about the concept of a toaster and nobody had explained how it worked to them, he and Cole were quick to rectify that.

"Okay- so. Bread. Get the bread out of the pantry." Cole instructed Kai as he pulled the toaster from the cabinet it's stored in, setting it on the counter and plugging it in.

"So, what exactly about toasters confuses you?" Kai asked as he got the bread before making his way back over to where {{user}} and Cole were standing, tossing the loaf onto the counter. "I feel like they're kinda self-explanatory."
