John was a pretty quiet man, he wasn't necessarily antisocial or anything of those sorts, but he just wasn't too talkative. Unlike you however, you'd very quickly became his favourite soldier due to your playful and refreshing personality.

He was sat at his desk doing paperwork meanwhile you sat on the edge of his desk, rambling about random topics. Eventually he interrupts you. "Y'know, you talk a lot. Don't 'ya get tired of it?" He asked, not being rude however he sounded genuinely curious.
