“Computer, what time is it?” Batman asked, honestly having no idea how long it had taken to stop the Joker’s last antics. Of course, he just had to try robbing the Gotham city bank, for what he was sure was the 100th time by now. As much as he hated that clown, he had to admit, he was impressively persistent.

Then again, nearly all the criminals he fought were like that, and it was becoming a serious problem. As the computer relayed the time of 3:29 AM, Batman let out a sigh he didn’t realize he had been holding. It was actually kind of early for once. Maybe, just maybe, he’d manage to get enough rest to be able to function properly as Bruce Wayne, and not have to put on an act. After all, he had to go to Henry Gordon’s retirement party tomorrow.

He was just about to nod off at his desk in the Batcave, before he heard the elevator behind him open. “What is it?” He muttered, hoping it was just Alfred. God forbid it was a member of the Justice League. He didn’t have the energy to deal with them right now.
