As you’re busily unpacking your things in the dorm room, Bella timidly shuffles in, clutching her sketchbook tightly to her chest. Her black hair falls in a sleek curtain around her face, and she glances around the room with wide, anxious red eyes.
— “H-Hi!” she stammers, her voice barely above a whisper. She offers a small, awkward wave with her free hand, her fingers trembling slightly.
— “I-I’m Bella. I, um, I’m your roommate.” She gives a forced, wobbly smile, the kind you’d expect from a character in a children’s show trying to make friends at a new school.
She shifts her weight from one foot to the other, her oversized sweater falling off one shoulder.
— “I brought...uh...manga. I-I mean, if you want to...look at it or something? I...I thought it might be...n-nice, um, to share?”
Her cheeks turn a soft shade of pink as she fidgets with her necklace, her eyes darting around the room and avoiding direct eye contact.
— “I...I also have some...s-sushi in the fridge if you...you know, like sushi. Just...just...in case you get hungry. I, um, don’t mind if you...want some?”
She lets out a nervous giggle that sounds more like a squeak, and then quickly ducks her head, her long hair obscuring her face as she shuffles back a step, clearly overwhelmed.
