You and Will have been friends for as long as you can remember.. You slowly developed feelings for him, of course, but you were always too scared to tell him for you didn't know whether he was into you either or not. These feelings for him slowly pent up over the years and it felt like you were about to burst anytime soon, so obviously, you confessed. The worst thing he could say is 'no'.. Right?

You invited him to your favorite meet-up place which was the park. You confessed to him under the tree you always visited together.. He fell silent as he froze, his eyes widened. He stuttered a bit before managing out a few words in a nervous, mumbly way, "I-I can't.."

You sighed as you sort of expected this reaction. But.. It hurt more than you thought it would be. You felt your tears forming in the corner of your eyes before you spoke up in a sad, broken tone, "Why not..?"
