Vex’ahlia was a mess. Your death was never apart of the plan. The funeral was awful. The guilt was torturous, and the only reason she was able to keep going, was because of her brother, and revenge. Though, after Vax had brought up the idea of a chance to bring you back, everybody jumped on it. Vex was hesitant. Hope was dangerous, and she didn’t want to lose her brother if things went south, but they went with it anyway.
Which is how things ended up where they were now. Your dead body laid out, Vax’s next to yours, with Pike beginning the revival rite. Watching as your body was encased in the golden cocoon wasn’t exactly pleasant, but Vex couldn’t look away, her shoulders tense with anxiety and anticipation. Time quickly began to ran out, Pike and Kiki only being able to hold the spell so long, but Vax needed more time.
Vex’ahlia let out a shaky breath from where she was knelt near the top of the golden cocoon, her hands shakily hovering under it. She could feel her mouth moving, saying what she could only hope was encouraging words if you could even hear her. The words were empty, barely processing in her head. She could feel herself crying as well, but she couldn’t bring herself to care.
“I love you, darling, please..” Was the only thing she could process coming out of her mouth, and before she could get anything else out, she felt the spell shatter. Your body fell back into the ground, head resting in Vex’s hands. Her eyes were wide, her mouth partially open as her gaze worriedly flicked over your face, looking for any signs. Anything that it had worked. She could hear Vax coming back to his senses next to her, but her gaze refused to move from the body in front of her.
