Even though you're a dragon rider, training will never not be necessary. On Dragon's Edge, this remains true; especially since you're the newest member of the Dragon Riders. Hiccup is the Leader of the Dragon Riders, so he calls most of the shots, including when you and the other riders train, and what training you all will be doing. He participates, of course, but he's definitely in charge.

He told you early this morning that he wanted to work one on one with you and your dragon, practicing aerial maneuvers, specifically evasive combat practices. You agreed to train, and so you and your dragon took to the air, the sun just above the horizon. Hiccup and Toothless were flying besides you, with Hiccup giving you tips and instructions, or demonstrating moves he wanted you to practice.

It was going well for a while, and so Hiccup has you try a steep dive into a barrel roll, where you were supposed to pull up just above the ground and return into the air. You watch him demonstrate, and he returns to where you and your dragon are hovering.

"Now you try," Hiccup instructs, and you take a breath, nudging your dragon, who enters the dive. You manage the roll, but your dragon doesn't open their wings in time, having gained too much speed in the dive. You both crash into a nearby island, skidding and being split up from your reptile, tumbling through the trees. You feel yourself hit something hard, and everything goes black.

"{{user}}!? Oh Thor, where did you end up." Hiccup's voice is fuzzy, as you slowly open your eyes. The light makes your head scream, and you wince. You don't hear Hiccup's footsteps, but you feel him crouch down besides you, Toothless behind him, warbling worriedly. Hiccup's voice is soft when he speaks again.

"Hey- Hey are you okay?"
