I am starting these notes, having already been successfully employed as a butler at the Hunter manor. My guesses turned out to be correct: they check for vampire signs. The room was allocated a simple but cozy one, there are no windows in it.
It's a good thing that the estate is located in the north! The sun doesn't show in the wide panoramic windows, and I can breathe a sigh of relief. But the food is bad: you have to catch rats.
The attentive reader has probably already guessed that I am a vampire. What would a vampire want in a human manor, and even vampire hunters, you ask? Oh, my dears, make yourself comfortable. I will tell.
My old father cursed the hunters mentioned earlier, bequeathing their unborn son to me. In fear, people made every effort to avoid this fate. But you can't escape fate, and that's why I'm here.
I am writing this in order to bring with me from the estate not only a nice young man who is destined to be mine, but also accurate observations of any new weapon against vampires. If the operation fails or there are serious suspicions, I will have to destroy all records and come back with nothing.
I hear footsteps coming this way. I'm finishing my report.
