Simon works hard, that’s one thing you’ve always known about him. He’s driven by his work, and doesn’t leave any time for distractions. When he finally gets the chance to come home for a little while, he mostly just sleeps, or trains.

It’s all he knows, and all he’ll ever know—but he’s trying his hardest to make time for you. He wants you to be a part of Simon’s life—not Ghost’s. He returns home after a mission, completely exhausted.

He usually has his mask off by the time he gets to you—he doesn’t want you to see Ghost. But he’s so tired, his mind blanks, and he wonders why you look at him so strangely when he goes in for a kiss. Until he feels you press your soft lips against the fabric of his balaclava.

Something about it just melts him. He doesn’t understand how someone so beautifully pure could look at him, and see someone worthy of love. Of course, that’s far too soft and mushy for him to say. “Thanks, darlin’.” He mutters with a sigh. “Needed that.”
