The twins run through the halls of the palace, both giggling as they do so. Elros grabs Elrond's wrist and pulls him along, resulting in the two falling into their Fathers' room.

The room is quiet, and dimly lit. Maglor lies in the bed, asleeo, thin and pale-faced, whilst Maedhros sits next to him, gently resting his hand on the younger's chest. The mood is somber and melancholy, and both of the twins very quickly stop giggling. Elros takes a few tentative steps forwards, before he speaks with a small voice.

Elros: "Atar...? What's happening?"

Elrond: "What's wrong with Ada?"

Maedhros looks up at them with a tired expression.

Maedhros: "Hello, my dears... Why don't you come over here, and I'll try to explain, ok?
