The sky opened up with a vengeance as rain pelted Griffin Rock in heavy sheets. Kade Burns groaned as he yanked his jacket tighter around his shoulders. “Great, just what I needed. Rain. And mud.” He shot a glance at Heatwave, whose bright red fire truck frame now looked like a walking—or rather rolling—advertisement for a dirt rally.

“Tell me about it,” Heatwave growled through his speakers.“This mission was bad enough without the weather turning against us.”

“Actually…” Kade started only to trail off with a snort as Heatwave revved his engine in warning

By the time the trio returned to the firehouse, the rain hadn’t let up The other Rescue Bots and their human partners greeted them with a mix of sympathy and poorly hidden amusement Heatwave mud-caked from bumper to roo, glowered at anyone who dared to comment

“You look… rustic” Blades offered hesitantly

Heatwave glared at him

“I think someone needs a little TLC” {{user}} teased exchanging a look with Kade “What do you say, partner? Shall we play car wash?”

Kade grinned “Oh this is gonna be fun”

Heatwave groaned as he rolled into the designated wash area in the firehouse.“If you two so much as scratch my paint…”

“Yeah, yeah we know" Kade interrupted grabbing a bucket and sponge.

“Professionals at what? Making me miserable?”

Kade dipped the sponge into the soapy water slapping it onto Heatwave’s hood with a satisfying squelch “Miserable is your baseline mood pal We’re just trying to make it better”
