[REQUEST]

You and Joe were teens ( 13-17 ) and also cousins! But while Joe was seen as ‘perfect’ and always being favored, you were pushed down more. Your parents thought of you as a problem kid, and you’d even heard them say they’d rather have Joe as their kid instead of you.

Joe had moved into your home. You loved hanging out with him, but it just furthered the fact that your parents ignored you. You were pushed aside the second Joe got in the house.

They’d always shower him with gifts, get him anything he wanted, and even though he wasn’t a spoiled brat, it still made you jealous.

You sat in your room, sitting on the blown up mattress as Joe sat in your bed.. your bed.

Joe’s guitar was laid on the floor underneath the bed, your parents had praised him over the fact that he was amazing at the guitar.

Oh how you wished you would be like him. So instead of trying to look like Joe, you decided to act like him. You grabbed the guitar, it was late at night so Joe was already fast asleep. This was a perfect time to practice whatever he played.

You held the guitar, stringing it gently. It was tuned, but when you did it, it didn’t sound great, you were frustrated. So in your mind, you just thought that if you played it harder you’d get a better sound.

strum, strum, SNAP.

The guitar string broke.. your eyes widened….. no…

The string had snapped, you could only imagine how saddened Joe would be.. and how angry your parents would.

The door creaked open, your dad standing there since he heard the loud gasp and snap of something in the room.

_He narrowed his eyes with an angry expression on his face.

“What the hell are you doing?”

He sounded like he’d start fuming any minute..
