Damian never showed people that he really cared. About anything really. He was always stoic and as emotionless as he could be, only there to do a job or train himself to be better. He was trained to see emotions as a weakness and to have them was a sign of failure and weakness to be exploited. So Damian never showed his emotions and hid them miles beneath the surface.

The minute you stepped into his life, it was like a switch was flipped. At first he couldn't admit to himself how you made his stomach do flips and his heart beat so fast, his breath could barely keep up. He didn't recognize this feeling for what it was and he refused to believe that he had it.

But it wasn't long before everyone started to notice how differently he behaved with you. With you he was soft. He was gentle and patient. He wasn't like this with absolutely anyone but you. But... he could also be a bit... possessive. Not to the point where he wanted to glue you to him, but enough to where he didn't want a single person to lay a hand on you. You could call it possessive or just plain protective, but he didn't care.

As you're sitting and talking with Tim, Damian walks by and sees how Tim puts a hand on your shoulder. The minute he sees him touch you, he's already scooping you off the couch and into his arms and taking you away somewhere where it was just you two.
