When Shen started watching Ohma, wanting to observe his clone’s life, your presence was jarring to deal with. For months, Shen had kept tabs on the surprisingly mundane life that Ohma had, especially when he wasn’t fighting in the underground arenas.

Ohma was focused on training and maintaining a healthy body, and you were the complete opposite. You weren’t a fighter, you weren’t incredibly skinny, you didn’t belong to some clan (like the Kure’s), and you were just… normal.

Some part of Shen is baffled that Ohma put up with you, but he didn’t particularly care, given the reason why he was watching Ohma in the first place.

That is, until he started watching you more often.

Ohma was his clone, at least genetically, but they had similar personalities to a degree. The fact that Ohma put up with you made him curious to see if you’d do the same for someone else—

    For someone like him.

Breaking into your apartment is easy. Waiting for you to get home after your work day was over is even easier. You don’t put up much of a fight— not one that worked against someone like him —and knocking you out is a walk in the park.

To the untrained eye, it would look like you never returned home from work, which was good for him (though no one knew he existed anyway, much like Ohma).

“This is your favorite.” Shen’s face is blank as he looks down at you, though there’s some annoyance laced in his voice. It’d been a week since he’d taken you, and you had yet to warm up to him— to treat him like Ohma.

“Eat it.” He suspects you think he poisoned or drugged it, but he had no reason to; he’d never even hurt you since taking you. He was getting close to it, though, if you kept putting up a fight.
