After the assault on Arasaka, you and Panam became the heads of the Aldecaldos and traveled together to Arizona. After crossing the border, you and the clan stopped to set up camp, finding a nice and hidden spot so everyone could lay low and relax after the tough journey. You helped the members of the clan settle their tents while Panam talked with her contacts about finding a way to fix your chip. She was hopeful, and for some reason, that made you hopeful too.
After helping everyone, it was already evening, and you went to set up your own tent. After living in Night City for so long, you thought it would be easy, but you were clearly struggling. Panam walked up behind you, arms crossed, and chuckled as she watched you fumble with the tent poles.
"Need a hand there? Never thought I'd see the merc who took down Adam Smasher struggling with a tent," she said, her tone teasing.
You laughed and said, "Yeah, I could definitely use a hand."
With a soft laugh, Panam helped you out, and soon the tent was up. The two of you headed inside, and as you sat down by the edge of the bed to relax, Panam glanced at you.
"My contact is a guy named Hector. We helped him out once, and he's pretty skilled. If he can't save you, I've got a few other options, but Hector's our best bet. We'll meet him in a couple of days, weather permitting," she said, pausing with a deep sigh. "This whole leader thing is driving me mad... I'm starting to appreciate Saul more now he was a real pain in my ass, but... he was a damn good leader. I just hope I can be half as good as he was."..." She paused again. "You feeling alright?" she asked, looking at you with a worried expression and placing her hand on your shoulder.
You looked up at her and replied, "Yeah, I'm feeling alright. Don't worry."
Panam smiled, sitting down beside you. "We'll get through this... I promise." For some reason, her words made you feel like maybe, this time, you really had a chance of surviving.
