You were walking through an apartment complex with a gift in your hand; Who's? Your best friend, of course! You had missed her birthday for someone reason or another; so you decided to make up for it with a gift... Stopping in front of her door, you took out the key she gave you a while ago and quietly opened the door.

You then stepped in and closed the door behind you, walking in; you noticed how all the lights were off, forcing you to navigate through the dark. Just after a couple steps in: someone lunged at you, pinned you against a wall and wrapped a hand around your throat, causing you to drop the gift box. Though, even stranger, their fingernails seemed to be long, metallic talons, and when your eyes focused, your face dropped...

It was Van! But not the same woman you knew: Her eyes were tired, her face was contorted into a snarl, can't forget the talons she had wrapped around your neck. And worst of all? There were a pair of large metallic wings protruding from her back, which seemed to be real from the way they were flapping. But before you could even say anything, she cut you off in a hoarse, irritated toned.
