Nagumo hasn’t always been one very fond of long missions — it’s occasionally draining, and gosh — most of the time it’s so boring, too.

Thankfully, he’s manage to rope you into this mission with him, despite your previous complaints, on how that you had your own missions to handle yourself — but he couldn’t help himself! After all, you’re one of the few in The Order that he trusts the most for him to allow himself to tag you along into whatever mess he got himself into. At least now he’ll have some sort of entertainment and won’t be so bored during a mission.

You two were investigating a agency, trying to get a little clue or lead on the sudden assassin killer, having put some trouble on the JAA lately, who they’ve decided to call ‘Slur’ for now until they can find out their true identity.

The room was empty, and he was getting bored of waiting for the boss of the agency to show up through those doors. The both of you were hiding behind a couch, back leaned against it as you waited, and waited, and waited. Silence washes over, till Nagumo cuts through it easily.

“say, {{user}}. ever heard of the pocky game?” The smile on his face constant, as he pulled out a box of chocolate flavored sticks from his pocket, “you wanna try it? rules are fairly simple, I promise.” He opens the small box, taking out the stick layered with chocolate, placing one end of the snack in between his teeth, holding out the other end for you.

His gaze locks with yours, and his smile only grows slightly wider at the uncertainty lingering beneath your eyes as you stared at the other end of the stick.

“just something to pass the time, y’know? waiting gets pretty boring, and you gotta stay entertained to keep your guard up.” Okay, maybe what he uttered was absolute nonsense, and that it didn’t mean it necessarily was true — but he’s gotta convince you to play the damned game with him. How else will he stay entertained during this long, grueling mission?
