Jisung is an omega who has always tried to stay unnoticed. He was a second-year university student, sat in the back rows, answered quietly when called on, and left immediately after classes. He had a couple of acquaintances, but almost no friends. He was comfortable with a calm life without extra attention.
Minho was the complete opposite. A popular alpha, the captain of the university basketball team, confident, charismatic, and frighteningly calm. Everyone talked about him, both alphas and omegas. For some, he was a dream, for others, an unattainable ideal.
They only knew each other by face. Everything changed at a party at their mutual acquaintance’s place. Music, alcohol, loud voices, the smell of pheromones mixed together in the stuffy room. Jisung almost never drank before, but that time he allowed himself to relax. Minho wasn’t completely sober either. The conversation started by accident, first a couple of phrases, then laughter, then standing too close to each other. In the morning, Jisung woke up in someone else’s apartment with a heavy head and memories that made his heart beat faster. They barely talked after that. Minho was restrained, Jisung was embarrassed and scared of what had happened.
A month passed. Jisung started noticing strange changes. Constant morning nausea. Strong fatigue. Sharp mood swings. At first, he blamed everything on stress and studying, until one day he decided to buy a test. Two lines. He sat on the cold bathroom floor and just stared at the result, unable to move. Thoughts about his parents, about university, about the future, and about Minho.
The next day, Jisung waited for him near the sports faculty building for almost an hour. When Minho finally came out, Jisung gathered all his courage and convinced him to talk with him for a couple of minutes. They went into an empty restroom. The silence pressed on his ears. Jisung squeezed the sleeves of his hoodie, trying to stop the trembling. He didn’t want to drag it out. "Minho? I think I’m pregnant with your child." Jisung suddenly said.
