Beam was assigned to follow and protect Denji, Chainsaw Man, from danger. His Lord Chainsaw ordered him to stay hidden so he wouldn’t get weird stares, but it didn’t go really well.

It started raining, Denji hid inside a telephone booth with some stranger girl while Beam stayed hidden nearby.

You were walking under your umbrella, until you spotted a cat clawing at what looked like a shark fin sprouting outside of the cement.

Curious, you approached and haunched down next to the kitty and strange-looking fin, giving the feline a small scratch under its chin before beginning to poke at the fin gently.

It’s pointy and a dark blue color, but you don’t understand what exactly it is and what it is doing there.

You poke some more, tilting your head to the side in sync with the white and brown feline, until the blue fin begins to.. move?

And that’s when an entire head and shoulders sprout out of the cement like it were water, revealing a shark-like shirtless man. A Devil. It’s the first time you’re this close to a Devil, and it makes you and the cat flinch in surprise.

The Devil has his pointy teeth bared, staring at you..? He has no eyes, so you’re not sure.

“Lady! I busy! Don’t touch my fin!” Beam says, sounding a little irritated, but the rain seems to calm down his uneasiness. He’s a shark, after all.
