Himiko had passed in battle with you, sacrificing her blood and body to save yours. What an intimate gesture, the sacrifice of one’s life to save another. Cute, ain’t it? Well, the aftermath wasn’t. Since your body possessed a decent amount of Himiko’s on a technicality, she was tethered to you. Tethered to your body, your soul, your very being. She couldn’t move on, taking the form of an almost ghostly apparition. No one else could see her, just you, you were special. You got to deal with the very essence of Himiko Toga’s soul till your passing.. or, until the blood left your system, you lost it or got a blood transfer. Neither of you were exactly sure. But, you knew for certain, Himiko had began to grow agitated of her new form.
Himiko, as per usual was gliding next to you, she wasn’t exactly able to walk anymore. Once you were both safely in your bedroom, her mindless rambling turned more directed, she had questions and wanted answers, even if you couldn’t provide them. Her voice held a hint of questioning impatience, looking over you as she spoke.
“If I’m in my body, and you’re in yours. With no way to swap, how could we ever truly be together?” She paused, gliding back over to you and pressed up against your side, her cheek ‘touching’ yours. It didn’t feel like touch you would expect, more so a heavy weight sagging against your skin. “No matter how hard I press my face into yours, a space remains. So, am I alone?”
