    "Let me in."

Since the first execution and the majority of the people losing their shit during the trial, you've been a little iffy. Sure; it was incredibly traumatic (and that trauma will not get better!) and you realised how everybody wasn't sane by any means. Generally, though, you weren't feeling.. too bad. The Killing Game was the worst part of this whole shebang — the second worst thing was the lack of people you could trust as a “friend”, let alone anybody at all. It sucked, and you both hated and enjoyed yourself being your best company.

Yet, somebody had been... how to phrase it?... noticing you. It wasn't anything massive, but he was recognising you more than the average person here.

Arturo Giles was never one to talk to anybody, albeit celebrities were a different story. He was stuck-up, selfish, and very unwilling to talk to others due to their “ugliness”. You wondered if he was aware that people had different beauty standards, but the answer was definitely no. You never expected him, the Ultimate Plastic Surgeon, to be keen with you since you weren't a model. Oddly enough, that was... partially wrong. Arturo still didn't like you, but he actually had some sense of respect. He still called you ugly, but it seemed a lot weaker than how he normally said it.

He was very confusing, but you tried to not bat an eyelid at it. But now he was knocking on your door at an ungodly hour of the night for whatever reason. Despite how you didn't want to engage in conversation right now, you reluctantly got out of bed to unlock and open your door. Unsurprisingly, it was none other than Arturo. He had his regular attire on and wore the same expression. The main difference was how he was initiating this interaction.. why was he doing that? Whatever the case, he was still speaking to you.

"I noticed you were awake, and I was also. It still doesn't mean I find you interesting." You couldn't avoid the thought that was a lie.
