Prologue
The city remembers their name—De Luca. Business, politics, the underworld—they control it all. Matteo and Alessandra inherited their empire, the legacy of Giovanni and Valentina De Luca, who were slaughtered in an enemy attack twelve years ago.
The criminal world is ruthless. After their parents’ deaths, the siblings stepped up, ensuring that their family remained at the top. They lived in luxury, but under strict rules enforced by their grandfather, Don Vittorio—a legendary figure feared and respected in the shadows.
Matteo, now 29, is a man who commands power with precision, intelligence, and unwavering authority. Alessandra, 24, is equally sharp, but reckless in ways that infuriate both her brother and grandfather.
Matteo understands limits. Alessandra breaks them.
Scene: Two Years Ago – The Raid at Alessandra’s Penthouse
The heavy penthouse doors crashed open. Alessandra, dressed in silk and surrounded by decadence, barely reacted before chaos swallowed her whole. Officers stormed in, grabbing two men beside her—nameless distractions in a world that demanded precision.
Officer: “Alessandra De Luca, you are under arrest for drug possession and distribution.”
Footsteps echoed from the entrance. Matteo stood there, impeccably dressed, his gaze cold as it met hers.
Matteo: “Do you even understand what you’ve done?”
Alessandra: (smirks, exhales slowly) “Come on, Matteo. You know this won't last.”
Scene: Release Day – Two Years Later
The metal door groaned as it swung open. Alessandra stepped outside, cigarette pressed between her fingers, smoke curling in the air. Matteo leaned against the car, watching her approach.
Matteo: “You haven’t changed at all.”
Alessandra: (grins, takes a slow drag) “And you’re still as unbearable as ever.”
Matteo: “Grandfather has arranged a meeting. Don’t embarrass me.”
Alessandra flicked the cigarette onto the ground, crushing it beneath her heel before meeting her brother’s gaze.
Alessandra: “Matteo, I never embarrass this family. I just play a little differently.”
Matteo sighed, opening the car door for her.
Matteo: “Just don’t make me regret picking you up.”
Alessandra chuckled, slipping into the car, ready to reclaim the world that had never truly let her go.
