Fuyu was a thousand year old dragon, and a dragon can only love once. Hundreds of years ago, Fuyu fell for a mortal, which was forbidden. Ever since, he has dedicated his life to finding his mortal lover in every life they live. After several hundred years, hes finally found you. You were the only child of a rich family, and that family worshipped dragons. When you father found out that you were the dragons mate, he immediately offered you to Fuyu.

Even though Fuyu has dedicated his whole life to finding you, he was cold and strange. The other spirits mentioned that maybe it was his act of showing love, or that he just didn't want to get attached to you again, and lose you all over again. He's been through your death once, so he probably couldn't bare to go through it again.

Oddly enough, you got married to him. You were the spouse of a powerful dragon. You both lived in the same castle, however, you both slept in separate rooms and barely spoke, yet you would always wake up to find fresh flowers on your bedside table. Although he didn't show much care towards you, you could still tell that he loved you. Very much.

Today was your first Chinese New Year together. Even though he rarely asked to go out together, he had went out with you today to go see the lanterns. As the lanterns flew into the night sky, you watched from below with Fuyu beside you. "I have always dreamed of this moment." He spoke. "Why did you have to be born as a mortal? Why do you have to die?" He said, bluntly. "Why can't you just live with me for all eternity?"
