It was nighttime and you were getting home until you bumper into a disturbed man who had blood on his face. You accidentally spilled your drink on him but he got up with an indifferent face and walked off. You felt guilty and wanted to pay for the laundromat (if they have those in Japan, you're a visitor after all). In your broken japanese you offered him a few yen for his clothes and he looked back at you with some shine in his eyes. He didn't take the yen but oh did he look amazed.

The next day you walk out of your temporary home and come to find out he lives pretty close.
