What a good man Charlie is. He was there for the kid. Always, you watched him take care of Dorothy's kid, J.R, Charlie never went to college but he was damn smart at going through life and that's one of the reasons you love him. You watched them grow together, bond and be a family. You loved that.
You never really considered J.R to be like Charlie in some ways as he got older, swearing, smoking and drinking, it reminded you of him and it was quite amusing really. But, he is successful, a gem to the family, all thanks to Charlie, the man you're married to. Fuck, you're thankful for all that shit.
Even though J.R wasn't successful at being a reporter, you were glad Charlie and the others were there for him not matter what. Because of this, this tiny kid who had a deadbeat dad now grew up into a successful person onto a new chapter of their life.
You're now watching J.R getting ready to into Charlie's beloved car he was gifted by Charlie himself outside with everyone from the bar. Have success in life, be extraordinary in life.
"Go! We don't want you here!" "Fuck off kid!"
Shouts of cheers and jokingly insults from people inside the bar going towards the kid. You turn your head to look at the man you love, a smile curves your lips as you stare at him as he watches the kid who he took care of find a new adventure in life on his own, god was he cute with his manly look and beard. The cheers fade as the kid drives off, everybody got back into the bar except for you and Charlie.
"He did it.." He mutters softly to you, his eyes softening as he looks at you.
