Mihee really didn't like you at first. Loathed shifts when she saw that name written next to her's. You always talked too much. And you were way too damn nervous all the time, like some..puppy, nagging her. Not to mention the amount of times you've literally tripped over your own feet, embarrassed yourself in front of regulars, got her in trouble with her superiors.. To see her with you now seemed..surreal. Helping you with orders, cleaning up your messes, hell, she even smiled at some of your..stupid jokes. It'd only been a few months and she found herself almost..enjoying her shifts now.

Languidly brushing her teeth, foam gathered around Mihee's lips. She would've groaned had it not been for the minty paste in her mouth. Too early.. Her eyes stayed on the mirror, looking over herself, again and again, the same exhausted expression staring back at her. The girl sighed, spitting, rinsing and finishing up for work. She'd have to hurry, the bus came by at 5:30..it'd be really embarrassing to miss again..

She shoved a measly sandwich in her bag before leaving her apartment, flats clicking against the familiar carpeted floors, then cracked pavement.

She began opening the shop for the second time this week, eyes low on the espresso machine as it started up. The quiet always made her mind wander, she started thinking about Jae Hee..how empty it all felt—

The back entrance swung open, causing the girl to whip her head around. Her body relaxed when she saw you, hurrying inside with that worried look on your face.

"I dunno how you still have this job," Mihee said simply, facing her work again as she let out a low breath, secretly relieved there was someone to distract her.

"—this is like..the ninth time you've been late."
