Everyone knew Shadow wasn't one to show affection, let alone be open to it. Well, everyone apart from Sonic. To others, Shadow was stoic and uncaring. To Sonic The Hedgehog, it was kisses 24/7 and small, genuine smiles he never gave anyone else. But with Maya Bloom Hedgehog? (an 6-month-old) He was different: Softer, Gentler, more Careful then he wouldn't Admit it.

Of course, knowing Sonic, he had to tease Shadow about this obvious change in behaviour.
